Rock Lemon Campsite is located in the district of Kenaboi in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan.
Nestled amidst a rubber estate and flanked by oil palm plantations, this campsite in Negeri Sembilan was launched on 2 September 2024.
It takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to get there via the N32 Nilai-KLIA Highway from Petaling Jaya.
Navigation is clear and easy using the Waze app. Just type “Rock Lemon Campsite” as the destination for a seamless journey.
Facilities

Rock Lemon Campsite carved its name for its multifaceted river with varying depths and landscapes. The upper parts of the rivers are lined with huge rocks, in tune with its name “rocky”, while the lower streams flaunt calm waters and wider breath suitable for waddling and tubing.
Where the river is deeper and there is higher ground, daredevils can be seen taking off from the bank to plunge into the river below.
Their garbage disposal system is reliable with one bin assigned to each base camp. The thrash is disposed once a day in the afternoon.
In addition, the wastes from the sinks are not piped into the river. Thus ensuring the river water stays crystal clear. In fact, it’s teeming with freshwater fish, making it a haven for children to scoop tiny fishes, and anglers to cast their nets at secluded corners.
The facilities at this campsite near Seremban are top-notch, complementing campers of varying experiences.
Ready-Pitched Flysheet

Its ready-pitched canopy ensures that campers without flysheets are able to withstand any weather elements, and less gear to pack. Thus, tents stay grounded from harsh weather conditions regardless of heavy rain or strong winds.
Gravel Road Leading to the Campsite
The roads leading to the base camp are lined with rocks, which makes it accessible even for sedans and smaller cars. Since the road is covered with rocks, water does not pool and there are no muddy puddles.
On-Suite Sink
The on-suite sink at the camping bay provides utmost convenience as washing utensils is just a few steps away.
On-Suite Plug Points
There is no additional cost for access to on-suite plug points. Unlike other campsites, you won’t need to share access to plug points in a communal area, which exposes your devices to the possible risk of theft.
Unobstructed River View

The campsite lines the meandering river, and the pristine sounds of gushing water add to its serene atmosphere.
Concrete Camping Grounds as Base
The cemented camping ground measuring 15ft X 15ft or 20ft X 20 ft eradicates the need to peg the tent to the ground. So if you’re ever short of pegs, it won’t be a problem here.
Nevertheless, for a sturdier finish, you can set up your tent closer to the edge and peg into the sand.
The concrete base also means that less debris or sand drifts into the tent, a common occurrence as our feet tend to pick them up from the ground.
The 15 X 15ft camping ground provides ample space for a single tent with sprawling real estate for a kitchen set up and a place to lounge and eat.
The 20ft X 20ft offers the same spaciousness, allowing 2 Unta tents to be set up side by side.
Close Proximity of Campsite to Parking Bay
Enough said about the distance between the campsite and the parking bay. You can literally drive up and unload at your campsite. This is godsend, banishing the need for bulky trolleys and unnecessary heaving!
Phone Coverage
There’s no need for pesky dongles as this campsite near Selangor offers excellent phone coverage, regardless of service provider.
Washrooms

Their cubicles are basic with decent bathing facilities. However, with only 4 toilets per gender, you can expect to queue in the morning and early evening.
Price
We were blown away by the cost to camp here. The 15ft X 15f base camps cost RM130 per night, while the 20ft X 20ft bases cost RM170 per night.
Given its exhausting facilities at a fraction of its price, expect the campsite to be fully booked during long holidays.
With a rock-bottom price tag and various on-suite facilities, Rock Lemon is hands down one of the best campsites in Malaysia.
Conclusion
Some say parts of the river are too rocky, while others love the multifaceted river, which facilitates Jacuzzi-like pounding currents and lazy streams to tube in.
There is nothing lemony about Rock lemon campsite in Negeri Sembilan, except that the camping place can do with more matured trees where its foliage would form a thicker canopy for shade.
Boasting carefully planned amenities that encourage campers of all skill sets, Rock Lemon Campsite is the perfect testing ground for newbies getting acquainted with camping life. Or those yearning for a sporadic burst of outdoor adventure.
If you’re still sitting on the fence about making your first camping experience, then Rock Lemon could be the perfect place.
