Prancing felines in silky coats, sparkling clean café, delicious food, and great ambiance that encourages pawsome interaction with cats. Tiny Beans Café checks all the right boxes, and it’s perhaps the best cat paradise in Petaling Jaya!

Tucked away along the quieter commercial lots of Kota Damansara, this hidden gem deserves more attention.

Behind their glossy coats and calm demeanor, the residence cats here were saved from the streets as struggling strays, each with a story to tell.

Bestowed a second chance to live their best life out, this cat café in Petaling Jaya operates with purpose yet has all the makings of a great place to chill!

About Tiny Beans Cafe

Tiny Beans Café debunks the myth that pet café food is overpriced and below par.

Founded in May 2025 by a husband-and-wife duo, the food boasts quality ingredients, and their drinks are worth coming back for. Backed by their daughter Nicole, who’s the baker behind their popular cakes, this pet café in Petaling Jaya may not boast a varied menu. But one where adults and children will find something to devour and a drink to sip and relax to.

Located behind the Pam Spring Damansara condominium, guests are allocated a maximum of 1.5 hours to dine and mingle with the cats.

While most pet cafes are known for having aloof cats, cats that scratch, and a less-than-endearing stench, Tiny Beans Café is so clean that I won’t hesitate to fall asleep on the floor!

The cats are relaxed, friendly, and they pretty much know the drill when guest come.

Conditioned to approach guests with a sense of eagerness and curiosity, you can buy cat treats for RM5 each (yeah, the business must make money). Upon ripping the treat, expect to be surrounded by a horde of furry bliss, jostling their mouths towards the treats.

After the feeding frenzy, the laid-back cats played and made zoomies under our chairs. As the crowd swelled towards 1pm, the cats calmed down, some tucked away in quiet corners for a snooze. While others revel in the attention guests showered.

How to Get To Tiny Beans Café

To get to Tiny Beans Café via Waze, just key in Tiny Beans Café into the app to navigate there. It is also accessible via public transport. You’ll need to get to Palm Spring Kota Damansara and alight at the Surian MRT Station.

From the Surian MRT station, the cat café in Selangor is located 1 km away, which is a short 10 to 15 minute walk.

For utmost convenience, consider getting an e-hailing ride to Tiny Beans Café.

As for parking, there is sufficient parking along the shop lots during weekends.

Ambiance at Tiny Beas Café

Constructed with cats in mind while maintaining steep hygiene, this cozy pet café is sectioned into tile areas. The first section is for guest to place their footwear and sanitize their hands before entering the café area, which stretches 3/4s of the floor, with one room for the café’s supplies and the other room for the cats to retire and rest at night.

The beverage preparation station is flanked by a corner filled with popular card and board games. It’s another perfect distraction to idle away while waiting for the food to be served.

The walls are adorned with pictures of each resident cat, their age and how they were rescued from the harsh street life of being stray.

Service at Tiny Beans Café

Service is personal where there are no QR codes to scan. The waiter who greeted us was courteous and patient. While we were busy distracted by the cats, food came pretty fast as we lost track of time.

Food at Tiny Bas Café

Coming in with little expectation on the food standards, we were pretty impressed with its taste and vowed to be back again.

The humble aglia olio turned out to be the crowd favorite, packed with garlicky undertones, mushrooms, and sweet cherry tomatoes.

The creamy Carbonara pasta was a tad too rich. But apart from that, the savory bits of ham and umami mushrooms lend texture and depth to the dish.

The Matcha Croffle is perfect if you don’t like your dessert sweet.

Deftly decorated and aesthetically plated with Pocky biscuit, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles of Matcha powder, the buttery warm croffle crumbles to heavenly bites. Its light and airy texture means one croffle is not enough! We savored the Oreo Croffle too, which boasted the same decadent effect.

As for the plain croffle, its rich taste is on full display, allowing you to taste its fullness without any ancillary dressings.

The cupcake is scrumptious wit aromatic hints of vanilla and tinge of sweetness. This dessert is in fact their signature offering when they first launched.

The drinks menu is more diverse, where you’ll find a wide variety of bespoke coffees, lattes and milkshakes to quench your thirst.

Pricing at Tiny Beans Café

The Pasta Carbonara is priced at RM25, while the Aglia Olio costs RM20. The average price of a croffle is RM16, and a cupcake is RM5 each (if I recall correctly).

Overall, prices are fair, though portions err on the smallish side. But their culinary skills are beyond average, while the quality of ingredients use speaks for itself.

Conclusion

With enigmatic stories behind each rescue cat that tugs at your heartstring, its comforting to know that every Ringgit spent hear goes towards helping the café stay profitable, while indirectly securing the livelihoods of the resident cats and a good cause.

Tiny Beans Café is the place to get a healthy dose of serenity pumped into your veins for a small price of good food. The relaxing ambiance and well vocalized cats makes it a haven to reset, even if it’s just for a short 1.5 hours.

A few minutes before we left, I watch my daughter surrender to the charms of Renji, squished face mixed breed Persian who was rescued from a market.

For someone steadfast in keeping her face dust-free (due to pimples), she relented to Renji’s charms, allowing him to sit in her lap as they both quietly day-dreamed away.
